Come! And sing to the trees with me!
As I wander in the forest of love
Discovering gifts of glowing wonder
That dwell in cool hidden spaces
Quietly between ancient stones
And that dance like leaves of light
Underneath sheltering branches
Of these great guardian beings

Come! And walk in the sun with me,
As the spirits of water and trees
And birds and low growing things
Sing their dreaming through us
And the song of water flowing
In gentle but insistent stream
Caresses the currents of our thoughts
Releasing the worries of our souls
To Earth's generous renewing

Gratitude is given freely here
And when my mind is silent I understand
That it is we that are being thanked
By the forest soul spirit dream
For respectful presence
For deeper listening
For humble awe
And for the trust of breathing

Come, and stand in this light with me
And may we know always
Love's honoring ways
